If you wish to cease PayParent’s use of your provided information or terminate PayParent® usage, please contact support@payparent.com, upon which PayParent will discontinue its use of your information while continuing to safeguard it.
Additionally, when visiting PayParent®, certain information such as internet address, service provider, operating system, access time, and referring address may be automatically collected. This may include the use of cookies to track reentries, site navigation, and browser type. While cookie acceptance is optional, disabling them may limit access to certain areas of PayParent®. Information collected aids in usage analysis, problem resolution, and website enhancement.
Sharing of Information with Third Parties
PayParent does not distribute user information to third parties for unrelated purposes without consent. However, information may be shared with designated state child support agencies to facilitate PayParent® services. Disclosure may also occur in compliance with legal obligations, governmental requests, or during litigation, dispute resolution, or administrative processes. Additionally, information may be disclosed or received during business transactions such as sales, mergers, or reorganizations.
Retention
Information collected by PayParent® is retained for as long as necessary to fulfill its intended purpose, maintain communication records, or as required by law.

PayParent® websites utilize Transport Layer Security (TLS) version 1.2, as recommended by leading security frameworks in the industry. This protocol ensures end-to-end encryption using FIPS 140-2 validated encryption modules and ciphers, safeguarding data transmission from unauthorized access. Our TLS certificates, issued by Sectigo, a reputable Certificate Authority, further enhance website integrity and authenticity. Fee Information
One-Time Registration Fee:
PayParent charges a one-time registration fee of $2.50, applied to the initial payment made on a new account. This fee is separate from the child support payment amount and any transaction or convenience fees. For inquiries, please reach out to PayParent customer service.
Transaction Fees: Refer to the table below for details on transaction fees incurred for child support payments based on the payment method. These fees are in addition to the child support payment amount. For any inquiries, please contact PayParent® customer service.
Terms of Service
As part of the PayParent® registration process, you are required to agree to the following Terms of Service. By using PayParent® for online payments, you are indicating ongoing acceptance of these terms. If you disagree, you have the option to contact PayParent® Customer Service to cancel your registration, thereby terminating your access to PayParent®.
Terms of Service Governing Your Use of PayParent®
The following Terms of Service (TOS) pertain to your utilization of PayParent® and your agreement with PayParent State & Local Solutions, Inc. (PAYPARENT). By accessing this site, you affirm that you have the authority to enter into this agreement and agree to abide by the following TOS.
SECTION A
- ELECTRONIC AUTHORIZATION
By clicking the “Agree and Submit” button during registration, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and accepted these terms. Your agreement via this method holds the same legal weight as a handwritten signature. - LICENSE, ACCESS, AND USE
PAYPARENT grants you a limited, non-exclusive license to access and utilize this site. You agree not to download or modify it, except with PAYPARENT’s express written consent. This license does not extend to resale, derivative use, or unauthorized data mining. Any unauthorized use terminates the license granted by PAYPARENT. - DESCRIPTION OF SERVICE
PayParent® facilitates Obligors in entering, storing, and transmitting child support payments electronically to participating States (Service). The Service is provided “AS IS”, and you must have access to the Internet and provide necessary equipment to utilize it. - PROCESSING OF UNPROCESSED PAYMENTS
If a payment initiated by you is not processed due to system-wide failure or PAYPARENT negligence, you must notify PAYPARENT promptly. PAYPARENT will endeavor to process the payment promptly upon notification, as your sole remedy. - ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS
By accessing PayParent®, you agree to be bound by these TOS. These TOS may be updated without notice, and the most current version can be reviewed on the site. - WARRANTIES AND LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY
PAYPARENT does not provide warranties regarding this website or its services and is not liable for damages arising from your use of the Service. - EXCLUSIONS AND LIABILITIES
Certain jurisdictions may not allow the exclusion or limitation of warranties or liability for incidental or consequential damages. Therefore, some limitations may not apply to you. - INDEMNITY
You agree to indemnify PAYPARENT and its affiliates against any loss or damage arising from your use of PayParent®. - TERMINATION OF SERVICE
PAYPARENT reserves the right to terminate your account or use of the Service for any reason. You may also terminate your account by providing written notice to PayParent®. PAYPARENT may deactivate or delete your account and related information without liability. - MODIFICATIONS TO SERVICE
PAYPARENT may modify or temporarily discontinue the Service at any time without notice. - NOTICE
Notices may be sent via email or regular mail. These TOS may be updated without notice. - SECURITY
PAYPARENT employs security measures to protect information received but cannot guarantee absolute security over data transmitted via the Internet. - PRIVACY
PAYPARENT respects your privacy and will not share your data without consent unless necessary for the Service. - GENERAL INFORMATION
These TOS constitute the entire agreement between you and PAYPARENT, governing your use of PayParent®. The relationship between you and PAYPARENT is governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey. Any claim or cause of action arising from the use of PayParent® must be filed within one (1) year.
SECTION B
- MEMBER REGISTRATION
You agree to provide accurate information during registration and update it promptly. PAYPARENT has the right to suspend or terminate your account if provided information is deemed inaccurate. - MEMBER PAYMENT DATA
You agree to provide accurate data specified by each State for child support payments and validate information prior to submission. Failure to correct data as requested by a State may result in termination of your service. - MEMBER PAYMENT SUBMISSION CUTOFF
Payments must be submitted before the designated cutoff time on a recognized banking business day. Otherwise, they will be processed the following day. - FEES
A one-time registration fee of $2.50 is applicable to the first payment. Additionally, there is a transaction fee per remittance, and fees may vary for payments to certain States. - RETURN FEE
Payments returned due to incorrect payment method information will incur a $20.00 fee. - NONSUFFICIENT FUNDS FEE (NSF)
Payments returned for non-sufficient funds will incur a $50.00 fee. - REVERSAL FEE
Stopping payments due to user error will result in a $20.00 charge per payment record stopped. - ACH REVERSAL/STOP PAYMENT PROVISION
Members agree not to request reversals of payments, except under specific circumstances, as determined by PayParent®. - PAYMENT PROCESSING SCHEDULE
The effective date for payments varies based on the method used and banking business days. All debited funds are subject to a four (4) business day hold.
